Out and about
Got iced coffee, a sandwich, some new nursing-friendly hot weather clothes, and some groceries. Zack was awake and taking things in for two hours without eating---that might be a record for him. Here, in the sandwich shop, Zack is very taken with Rebecca's skirt.

Seriously summer
It's hot here. 85 and it feels like 90 because of the humidity. We just put away all Zack's long sleeved newborn suits and got out his short sleeved 6mo shirts. He would go naked, but that would be too sticky for me to hold him. This is dinner on the porch.

Deeper field of vision
Zack can really see what's going on around him now, even a dozen feet away---he makes eye contact with people on the street and they want to stop and talk.

Another development
More and more happy lying by himself. He prefers lying on his back to sitting in his chair, for some reason. But he has been happily staring at things we prop around him for as much as 15-20 min. His attention span is longer than mine at the moment. I hope this development sticks :)

A few developments here
Reliably getting his hand to his mouth. He sucks on his knuckles. However, he hasn't discovered that he can grab things with his hands---rattles and chew toys don't quite work yet. This is a photo from last night.

It's absolutely summer here. I am no longer worried about keeping him warm enough. Now I'm worried about sunburn. Baby sunblock with good EWG rating due to be delivered on Tuesday.
