This is the third or fourth time he's tried. Doesn't have the coordination yet. And he grabs the big one with fingers around the lip, so the little one wouldn't fit in, anyway.

Handles and knobs

Zack has developed a fascination with handles and knobs. We are taking another trip to the kid store to try to sort through the overwhelming variety of babysafe cabinet latches. And maybe a plate with suction cups on the bottom.

Food

Zack had a half teaspoon full of yam last night and a half teaspoon of banana this morning. The yam got all over everything, but he seemed to like the taste. The banana mostly stayed in, but he made horrible faces at it. :) Sadly, I can't easily take photos and feed him at the same time.

Teething pain

Somehow it seems worse in the morning. Zack has been gnawing on the edges of his pacifier, so we tied it to his hat string and brought it along.

Zack's first hurricane

So far so good. There's some wind and rain out there, but so far it hasn't been that crazy. The eye (if it still has one) is over us now, and the weather site says wind speeds are 18mph. I think that means it's officially no longer a hurricane. High tide is 8am, so we'll see then whether the flooding will be a big deal. Here's how Zack is doing:

Zack and the pacifier

After months of not wanting a pacifier, Zack found this one on the floor and has been carrying it with him in his slow progress around the living room rug, and teething on it. Not sucking, but gnawing.
