Bellybutton

One of Zack's new words. He says "bay-bu'en." Other words are cup ("puh,") shut ("shuh") and socks ("sks.") He also says "bid'n" all the time, but we have no idea what he means.

He says "na na na" if you say "no no no," but he doesn't consistently show an understanding of what it means as a word connected to a concept. He continues to show a strong preference for B words, but D words are gaining favor.

Elliot!!

Elliot liked playing with the beads on this box. He saw it as very serious business. Zack liked giving Elliot toys to hold and then taking them back. He also liked patting Elliot's head.

Doctor again

Standard shots and blood test. Zack is napping now, but had needles in 3 of 4 limbs, and 3 new vaccines he hasn't had before, so the afternoon could be rough. He was a pretty good sport at the doctor's, even when his veins were hiding.

Finally getting better?

Yesterday Zack didn't throw up at all, and had fewer dirty diapers, and he was excited about eating---he had Cheerios, croissant, strawberry, avocado, yogurt, applesauce, and chicken. Today he wasn't woken up by diarrhea in the morning---in fact he hasn't had any yet! And his nighttime diaper indicated that he isn't even slightly dehydrated anymore.
