Stairs
Zack climbed all these stairs all by himself---I think that was his first encounter with stairs, and he seemed to know just what to do. We would have stayed longer at the park, but trick or treaters with scary masks were starting to come out, even at 4pm! So we hurried home---Zack is old enough to get really scared of a scary costume. I had to keep covering his eyes.

Awake baby
2:30 AM and I just gave up and turned the lights on. Awake baby in the middle of the night almost never happens, but Zack has had gas (probably related to the vegetable soup) and it woke him all the way up. So we're hanging out.

New play structure, new baby sitter
Today Zack got a new slide, to live on the porch, (and be used only with adult supervision.) Here, he is playing on it with Georgia from downstairs. Georgia's babysitter, Ana, brought her up for a visit---Ana will be watching Zack a couple days a week to give me that much more dissertation time. Ana will be here Monday and Wednesday, and Audrey Tuesday and Thursday.
