Prepositions
Zack has really been getting his prepositions down. Before Christmas he mostly used semi-colon-length pauses to separate nouns or nouns and verbs: "Hummus; chair; spoon." Now he is really filling out his sentences: "Zat-Zat need hummus, in a chair, wiff a spoon." (He even is increasingly saying, "Pease.") Here he is, telling me, "Zat-Zat under a table!" However, he still has a few things to work out---today his dad took him for a walk in the morning to give me another hour of sleep, and Zack said, "Trader Joes!" His dad asked, "Do you want to go TO Trader Joes?" And Zack said, "FIVE Trader Joes!" Uh oh, homophones!

It appears that at a very early age this child shows a talent for punning. It's in the DNA!
