Flight

Late evening flight was not as comfortable as our daytime flights have been. Zack didn't sleep till the very end of the flight, and had an uncharacteristic squirrelly period at about 3 hours in. Ash slept very lightly for the whole flight with a few short bouts of crying, and it was hard work getting and keeping him settled.

Proud of himself

While I was packing to come to CA for a month, I put Ash in the stroller with a closed baby food packet to keep him busy. Next thing I knew, he had the packet open, had squirted it all over himself and the stroller and eaten most of the rest by sucking it out of the package (I always use a spoon.) He was very proud of himself, and having a great time. I stuck him in the high chair while I cleaned the stroller.

When Ash is using a real word instead of just a sound, he almost always accompanies it with a nod or a series of nods.
