Zack had shots today, and got blood screening for anemia. He was scared from the minute we got into the exam room---he remembered the needles from last time. He is 45th percentile for height and 80th for weight, with a largish head, and knows way more words than expected. The doctor said they hoped babies would have three words by this age, and Zack is learning his numbers, he knows at least four colors (red, green, blue, yellow), and he can recognize the letters A and B on signs in the street. Besides the fact that he was saying "Mom-mom, Dad-dad, up, down, in (meaning out, pointing to the door), open, home," and "all done" in the doctor's office---being as clear as humanly possible that he wanted to leave and go home. Since the appointment, every time he sees the bandaid on his foot where they drew blood, he says, "all done," and sighs. He's napping now.
