"Eat egg"

"Sit Dad-dad's chair. Eat egg." He also wanted to "sit Mom-mom's lap," so he went back and forth three times during breakfast. He has a low fever and is not feeling 100%.

We weathered the hurricane fine, still have power. And despite very impressive winds, 80+ mi/hr, nothing blew off our deck except all the leaves from my basil plant. The parsley is a bit broken, but the thyme is okay :) Looks like it was pretty bad in Manhattan and south of us in Brooklyn, and on Staten Island and especially New Jersey. Much of the subway system will be closed for maybe a week and train and traffic tunnels across the Hudson and East River flooded. A substation in Manhattan blew up and power to lower Manhattan is not expected to be restored for several days. We will be affected to the extent that Alex will have to bike to work, and stores and restaurants in our neighborhood might find it difficult to get employees and stock. We'll go out for a walk in a little while and see what's up on the street.
