Book v. iPad

Zack loves loves loves books. When he's tired he gets very compulsive about them, and asks for them to be read over and over. I finally gave him the iPad, which has a couple games on it that he likes a lot, so that we could have a break from the same books over and over.

Swimming

Zack went to a swimming lesson with Elliot at the YMCA yesterday---they didn't let us take photos, but here's one of him getting the chlorine rinsed off at home. Parents got in the water with the babies and played ring around the roses and many other little song-games, and we started to teach them to kick their feet behind while lying on their tummies in the water. Zack had fun, though he thought the pool was loud.

Bus!

Zack says "buh, ah buh":

Zack loves it. He says "in" and "shut," and he laughs like crazy when I stick my face through the closed door.

"Zack's bed"

Zack has slept on his own little mattress pretty well this last week, except he keeps crawling off of it in his sleep. So we moved it to the far side of the bed, with a lot of talk about how this was the baby's bed, Zack's bed. He played in this little hole a bunch today, and seemed to understand that it was meant for him and that it was just his. I know little ones are not supposed to have pillows but he just climbs around till he finds them anyway, and he likes to snuggle them when he sleeps. He says "foss, ah foss" which means "soft, all soft" and he rolls around snuggling the pillows like he's doing here. He is still the lightest, most restless sleeper I have ever met, and we still can't move him while he's sleeping. I now nurse him to almost asleep and then lie near him while he finishes going to sleep by himself, which usually involves an extended period of flipping and flopping before he settles.
