At Grandma Robin's house

Zack got two presents that he is extremely excited about---a spaceship and an all terrain wagon. He is insisting on sleeping in the wagon and currently having his bottle and song in the wagon as his bed.

Box mountain

Tonight is our last night in this apartment. Zack seems to be taking it in stride. He is watching way more TV than usual while I pack---I'm almost done, just the cooking stuff left to go now, and I have until 1 tomorrow to finish it up. This box mountain was from early afternoon, and is way taller now.

Nutcracker

Zack really enjoyed it. He was engaged through the whole thing, all 2 hours of it, except 5 minutes during the pas de deux toward the end---the "child" Clara and Nutcracker were replaced by "principal" dancers and the style switched from fun and colorful to white, frilly, and technical, and they lost Zack. He had been dancing along with his hands, as if he were directing the orchestra, but for that part he switched to singing Wheels on the Bus under his breath. He was into it again for the farewell scene, and left the theater dancing---the usher said, "Uh oh, he's caught the bug!"

Here his nutcracker is dancing in the lobby before the show:

Here he is excited to have the show start:

Here he is clapping after one of the dances in the second act:

Snow

Zack likes to walk backwards to see his tracks. The snowflakes were big and feathery today.

Doctor

We noticed a couple hours ago that Zack had a little goop in the corner of his eye and that it was a little red, so we headed to the doctor to get some antibiotic ointment. Zack was very very nervous but did an amazing job being brave. Here he is looking a little skeptically at the nurse.

Interesting side note: he has gained no weight in the last year and a half, but has grown almost 6 inches.

Snow

It snowed an inch or so this morning, and the first thing Zack asked was if he could make footprints. He was happy that there was still enough snow when he got home to make footprints, and we made lots---but we had to go back in for snow gear so he could touch the snow and make handprints, because otherwise it was too cold and wet---it is pretty slushy out there.

So many footprints:
