Doctor visit

Zack went to the doctor today. He is 20.8 lbs, and 50th percentile in weight and height, down from 75th.

The doctor said he was developmentally advanced, and was interested in his interest in screw heads. She said it was "such a boy thing." She said she tells parents to offer Cheerios to help babies develop manual dexterity, but that that didn't seem to apply to Zack because he is great with his hands and he isn't so much about eating. But we bought Cheerios today anyway to try it out. She also said to offer chicken and finger food with a little texture, to see if part of what he is objecting to is the feel of purée in his mouth.

She also said that whatever the fever was, it probably wasn't Roseola, because the fever wasn't high enough. And she didn't seem concerned that his top teeth were coming in one at a time.

Overall, she didn't seem to have any worries about Zack---the consensus is that he's doing great.

In the photos, Alex is playing "look, the baby can stand up all by himself."
