As is clear in these photos, Zack liked the idea of the party hat but didn't really want to wear it. He ended up taking the 2 off the hat and sticking it on his tummy. He loved the candles and everybody singing Happy Birthday to him, and he was very happy about the whole birthday process. He was not very effective about blowing out the candles here (he blew them out fine at school) and he didn't want to actually eat any of this cupcake. Elliot thought the party hat was fine, and he loved the cupcake in theory and practice.
